Building homes for families that are currently in sub-standard housing within a 20 mile area of Wisconsin Rapids. We provide a hand up, not a hand out.

Description:
HFH is a christian-based ministry for deserving families.
Families are selected on criteria stated on an application. They partner with us and the community to plan, build, and occupy each home. Volunteer hours or "Sweat equity" make the house affordable, not free.
Each family makes regular payments, but it has no profit or interest.

History:
Wisconsin Rapids Area Habitat for Humanity was organized in 1992. We are currently constructing our 11th home, with 9 in Wisconsin Rapids and 2 in Nekoosa. All churches in the area are encouraged to sign up for a weekend work project.
